Okay so I know this might sound weird but LISTEN!
I truly think all you gals should give this a try at least once a month minimum.
Doing things alone is so refreshing! A sense of power and living by YOUR decisions, YOUR way. You're telling me you wouldn't love that? Exactly.
I've compiled together a list of my personal favorite activities to get you going:
1. Go for a long walk. It doesn't necessarily have to be for a very long time, but long enough that it gets you manifesting some thoughts to get that head clear!
2. Bake/Cook something new that you've been wanting to try but haven't gotten around to doing it!
3. Create a vision board of your larger goals in life. Pick up some magazines and cut out images or print images off the web that inspire your dreams and hang the board somewhere you walk by often so you have a constant reminder of the dreams you are trying to achieve.
4. Make time to write in a journal. Pinterest is a gold mine of journal prompts for basically everything you didn't think you could write about, and MORE!
5. Do some at home yoga. Yoga focuses a lot on the mind to body connection and I personally love this because you could really find your sense of calm through it. Most of the time i nap after it anyway.
6. Read a new book. Aside from this blog, this is probably one of my all time favorite things to do. I LOVE me a good book. Kindles are great but there's something about turning the pages of a fresh new book that really gets me to binge read.
7. Go on YouTube and watch a new make up tutorial. If you're not the best at make up but want to play around with products, I fully encourage you to try this! Or even if you love make up but want to see new trending products, looks, etc. Take some time out to do this!
8. Try a new mind exercise and start a puzzle and make it a goal to complete it! We're always mindlessly scrolling through our IG's.. We might as well give ourselves a break sometime and do an activity that gets us to think
9. Start and keep up with a bullet journal. I am guilty of falling off of this but I am working on getting back to it because they are seriously SO creative and a lot of fun to do in your spare time. there's endless things to drawn and keep up with in them.
10. Do a face mask while listening to a motivational podcast. - these have quickly become necessities for me to do. From experience, I could say I do this often. Plus self care is the best care, am I right?
11. Go check out a new restaurant and order a meal you normally don't eat. Expand your horizons! And tastes buds of course..
12. Find a new movie to watch that isn't typically your favorite genre. Something that may catch your eye, but not enough for you to go and watch. That's the movie to check out!
13. Create a bucket list for yourself for the year. Let's face it, no one really follows through with New Year's Resolutions.. So let's do a bucket list instead! Create a list of activities you want to accomplish, small every day goals you would like to achieve, and more! Your mind is full of endless potential achievements. Start taking advantage of that!
14. Go shopping and treat yourself to something you've been wanting. I mean, REALLY wanting. Like every time Facebook shows you an Amazon ad on something similar that you were searching for. Make the splurge purchase worth your while!
15. Since we've gone shopping, my final activity for you to try is decluttering and reorganizing! Can't even lie, this is probably THE top thing to do. So much good can come out of this. Donating to help others, and just reorganizing yourself in general. You'll sleep knowing this task was accomplished.
I'm encouraging you ladies to seriously consider giving this new hobby a try! I know a lot of us become funny with doing things by ourselves but I wouldn't consider it either if it didn't affect me in a positive way. I would really love to explore new activities to do as well so I hope to hear from you guys to share some of your favorite activities if you already practice this :)
